If you'd told fifteen year old me I would be living my thirties as a stay-a-home-mom with a camera and a paintbrush in my hands, I would have laughed in disbelief.

You want to know the truth? I didn't grow up thinking I was creative or artistic in any way. I doodled on binders the way teenagers will do but I never spent much of my time sketching or painting nor did I consider myself artistic enough to even try, if I’m honest with myself. Instead I had my nose in books (still do #bookwormforlife).

But I picked up my first paintbrush in 2017 and life hasn't been the same since. I can draw and I can paint!! And I really enjoy all of it. Give me watercolors, alcohol inks, marry that with sunset hues over mountaintops, abstract flowy creations from the heart, and beautiful sunny days outside hiking or at the beach and you have me in some of my happy places.

I truly believe we all have a creative side just waiting for the right mediums to fall into our hands. And it gives me so much joy to share my creative journey with you all. I hope you’ll join me in the fun.
